Netflix on the PS3

I’m a fan of Netflix. I enjoy the concept of being able to have the video store just mail you a DVD instead of going to the nearby Blockbuster. I watched my absent minded mother rack up several hundred dollars in late fees over the course of my childhood. Now, couple this with the ability to stream movies from my home computer, you’ve got a product I’m sold on. (more…)

My Browser Choice

A few months ago, I decided that my old browser standby (Firefox) could use some review. When I began using it, it was the best alternative for the beast that is Internet Explorer. Since my recent switch over to the Mac, I haven’t really explored other alternatives. “Because it’s what I’ve always used” is no excuse for a preference, so I set out in search of my preferred browser. That’s not exactly a phrase a woman would take well. If she’s irritated with you for telling her she can’t have what she wants, that’s doubly so. She definitely won’t think that you’re talking about a real book written by 37Signals. (more…)

Flower

Every once in a while a video game comes along that promises to be innovating, interesting, and imaginative. I’m not sure if Flower boasted that much of itself, but it certainly delivered.

Gowalla

Gowalla

I’ve started using an application on my iPhone known as Gowalla. The premise is similar to FourSquare’s, which I was never quite sure about. The entire app is based on the idea that someone wants to know where you’re at or have been and that you want to make a game out of it. (more…)
